BCA Finances are regulated by Article 8 of the Constitution.

BCA Finances are managed by the Treasurer and Finance Committee and published annually on the BCA Website.

The Treasurer reports on BCA finances and advises on monetary policy to the BCA Council who make financial decisions. The Treasurer and Bookkeeper are able to act without Council approval in the course of the ordinary day-to-day financial activities of the organisation.

Use of BCA Website:

The BCA Treasurer is responsible for any Committee meeting minutes to be posted onto the BCA website.

The Regional Council treasurers are responsible for maintaining the link to their most recent set of approved accounts between the BCA website and the regional websites.

The BCA Treasurer is responsible for ensuring the BCA approved annual accounts are available on the BCA website.

The BCA has a policy document for funding of Regional Councils, including expectations and procedures for both the BCA and the Regional Councils to adhere to. This was substantially overhauled in January 2020 to remove most disallowed categories of funding. This essentially empowers Regional Councils to spend money with greater security that all reasonable costs will be covered by BCA, while reducing administration. Be aware that any specific project exceeding a specified value (value stated in policy) still needs to be pre-approved for budgeting purposes and to ensure money is being spent in accordance with BCA values. This policy can be found on the Finance section of the BCA website.
