Council
BCA Council is governed by Section 6 of the BCA Constitution.
The voting BCA Council comprises:
- Executive (Chair, Secretary, Treasurer)
- Officers (Chairs/Convenors of the Standing Committees) (x4)
- Publications and Information Officer
- Individual member representatives (x4)
- Group member representatives (x4)
- One representative of each Regional Council (x5)
- One representative of each constituent body (x8)
Hence there are typically 29 voting positions on BCA Council.
However, the wider BCA Council (including any mailing lists for BCA Council) will usually include Working Group Convenors, various annual appointees (Insurance Manager, Webmaster, Newsletter Editor, Safeguarding Officer, Library Representative, amongst several others which may change year to year) and BCA employees (e.g. Membership Administrator) These are non-voting positions but are nonetheless encouraged to participate in BCA meetings and Council activities.
