====== Finance Committee ======

The BCA Finance Committee is neither a [[working_groups:start|Working Group]] or a [[committees:start|Standing Committee]] (abolished). It is a separate body that oversees the BCA's [[finances:start|finances]] in conjunction with the [[executive:start|Treasurer]].

**Chair:** BCA [[executive:start|Treasurer]]

**Chair Email Address:** treasurer@british-caving.org.uk

**Composition:** The BCA [[executive:start|Treasurer]] and the Treasurers of the [[https://british-caving.org.uk/about-bca/bca-council/|Regional Councils]]

**Meetings:** Meetings as required, usually prior to Council Meetings and arranged by the Chair.

**Reports to:** The [[executive:start|Treasurer]] who will report the activity of the Committee at [[council:meetings|Council Meetings]], and annually at [[general_meetings:agm|Annual General Meetings]].

**Role within BCA:** 


The Finance Committee reviews each region's claim for funding by BCA and passes each claim before payment. They also undertake other tasks as requested by [[council:start|BCA Council]] or [[general_meetings:agm|AGM]].

The Finance Committee also reviews the BCA’s annual accounts before presentation to the [[general_meetings:agm|AGM]].
